Claudia Sheinbaum's First International Trip to Brazil

The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, has embarked on her first international trip to Brazil to participate in the G20 leaders' summit, marking her first interaction as a leader with counterparts from the world's major powers.

During her trip, Sheinbaum had the opportunity to share photographs while talking with the airplane staff, as part of her first international journey. It is expected that, in addition to participating in meetings, she will strengthen her alliance with Brazil, governed by Lula da Silva, in order to combat hunger and poverty.

The president does not travel alone; she is accompanied by members of her Cabinet, including Energy Secretary Luz Elena González and the Secretary of Foreign Affairs. These officials are expected to collaborate in discussions with other governments to forge alliances and address issues of national and international interest.

Although the presence of the Secretary of Treasury, Rogelio Ramírez de la O, was originally anticipated, he could not attend due to the presentation of the Federal Expenditure Budget.

At the G20 summit, it is expected that Claudia Sheinbaum will meet with leaders from various countries such as Canada, China, South Korea, India, France, Indonesia, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Despite prioritizing domestic issues, the Mexican leader aims to discuss key topics with global leaders, such as gender equality, sustainable development, digitalization, sharing Mexico's experience with social programs, and strengthening the alliance with Brazil to combat poverty and hunger.
