In recent months, several singers in the regional Mexican genre have been threatened for performing live in certain areas of Mexico. On this occasion, Óscar Maydon, known for his song "Tu Boda," has been the target of severe threats. Insecurity and the presence of organized crime in the country have notably affected the music industry. For this reason, various groups and solo artists have been forced to modify or even cancel their tours in order to safeguard their security and avoid any type of conflict.

Through Instagram, the account @chamonic3 revealed a threatening banner directed at Óscar Maydon, which led the singer to cancel his performance in Aguascalientes to protect his own safety and that of his team. According to the post by the content creator, the banner found in Aguascalientes warned Maydon not to perform in the city on February 8. Due to this threat, the concert was canceled for security reasons for both the artist and his followers.

On social media, the threatening message left for the Mexican singer regarding his scheduled performance at the Aguascalientes fair's palenque is circulating. The authors of the threat wrote: "Óscar Maydon, you are warned, do not come to Aguascalientes because you are laundering money in Teocaltiche. Jaime Cruz, here Mario González, you and your son are done for if you perform. Consider yourselves dead." In light of this situation, Óscar Maydon's followers have expressed their concern for his well-being, but the singer has not made any statements about it so far.
