Arrest of Alleged Sexual Aggressor in Celaya

The Guanajuato Prosecutor's Office recently reported the arrest of Federico Esteban 'N', who is considered the alleged sexual aggressor that bit the buttock of a young woman in Celaya as she was arriving home. The 45-year-old individual was identified and detained after committing the attack on February 2, 2025. He was presented before a judge to face legal actions, emphasizing that impunity will not be tolerated in Guanajuato and that violence against women will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

In the recordings shared on social media, a man can be seen following a young woman to her residence in the Zona de Oro neighborhood in his vehicle. He later parks the car nearby and approaches the young woman, who was opening a door. Taking advantage of the victim's distraction, the man attacks her, biting her buttock before fleeing. The aggressor was wearing a gray shirt, jeans, a black cap, and was driving a white Tsuru car.

In light of this unfortunate incident, the Guanajuato Attorney General's Office maintained contact with the assaulted young woman on the day of the event, providing her with total support and comprehensive attention. The institution reported that a thorough investigation has been initiated to shed light on what happened and seek justice in the case. The victim was identified as Katherine 'N' and stated that her case was initially dismissed under the claim that a real crime had not been committed, and they also refused to accept the videos as evidence.

The Attorney General's Office asserted that it is thoroughly investigating the actions of the public servants involved in the case to ensure that their actions meet the service standards towards citizens. It also strongly condemned gender violence and reaffirmed its commitment to work tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice, ensuring that there will be no impunity for acts that threaten the dignity and safety of women and that efforts are being made to identify and capture the individual responsible for this aberrant act.
