The Attorney General's Office of the State of Guanajuato is investigating a case of sexual harassment that took place on Sunday in Celaya. According to official information, a man followed a woman to her home and attacked her, biting her buttock before fleeing. The assailant was wearing a gray t-shirt, jeans, a black cap, and was driving a white Tsuru-type car.
In a statement, the Attorney General's Office informed that it has maintained contact with the assaulted young woman and has provided her with comprehensive care. The institution has initiated an investigation to clarify the facts and seek justice. The victim, identified as Katherine "N", has expressed that her case was dismissed and the videos were not received as evidence.
The Attorney General's Office of the State of Guanajuato stated that it is thoroughly investigating the behavior of the implicated public servants to ensure that their actions meet the highest standards of service to the citizenry. The institution strongly condemned gender-based violence and assured that it is working tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice.
"We will not allow impunity in acts that threaten the dignity and safety of women. An investigation has been initiated to identify and apprehend the perpetrator of this abhorrent act," stated the Attorney General's Office.
