In Culiacán, Sinaloa, Jesús “N”, alias “Chuy”, a member of the “Sinaloa Cartel”, was arrested as part of an effort to promote peace and security in the region. Authorities stated that this action is part of an extradition process and that the detainee is at the disposal of a judge to determine his legal situation.

The arrest of Jesús “N” was achieved thanks to intelligence and surveillance work in various areas of the city. It has been revealed that he had an extradition order to the United States for drug-related charges. Additionally, he is accused of organized crime, money laundering, and health crimes in Mexico.

The detainee allegedly used various houses in Culiacán as hideouts, being finally captured on Los Álamos Avenue, La Campiña neighborhood, in a coordinated operation. Authorities have confirmed that his rights were read to him and he was informed of the reasons for his detention at the time of capture.

Security Secretary Omar García Harfuch highlighted that the arrest of Jesús “N” is the result of cooperation between various security forces, including the Navy and the Attorney General's Office, in a joint effort to dismantle drug trafficking networks. This action is part of the National Security Strategy and responds to coordinated investigations with the United States in the fight against organized crime.
