Arrests of Cartel Operators in Culiacán

Security agents in the municipality of Culiacán detained Kevin Alonso 'N' and another individual who were carrying firearms, discovering that they possessed weapons exclusive to the Army. In a simultaneous action, José Alonso 'N', Kevin Alonso's uncle, was also arrested for carrying firearms and tactical equipment. The detainees, along with the seized weaponry, will be transferred to Mexico City to the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime to face investigation.

According to authorities, Kevin Alonso 'N' had a prominent role in the Sinaloa Cartel, being responsible for the security of Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar. He coordinated the acquisition of weaponry and ammunition for the criminal cells, organized operatives to confront opposing groups or federal authorities, as well as imposed punishments and counterintelligence measures. He is also attributed with the responsibility of carrying out homicides and extortions when necessary, and there are suspicions of his collaboration with agents of the municipal police of Culiacán.

The detention of Kevin Alonso 'N', also known as 'El 200', is the second arrest of an operator of the Sinaloa Cartel in recent hours in Culiacán. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that the alleged operator of the criminal organization, José Rangel Canobbio Inzunza, alias 'El Gücerito', was recently detained in Sinaloa. This individual was apparently responsible for planning routes for the international distribution of illicit substances, such as fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine.

The action that led to the detention of Kevin Alonso 'N' was a result of reinforced security measures in Sinaloa, derived from investigations and intelligence by various federal and local forces, such as the Secretariat of National Defense, National Guard, Secretariat of the Navy, Attorney General's Office of the Republic, and the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection.
