Juan Carlos Félix Gastelum, known as "El Chavo Félix" and the son of Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada, received a ruling against the Federal Center for Social Rehabilitation Number 1 "Altiplano". He accused them of brutal treatment and inadequate medical care since the moment of his incarceration two months ago.

According to the publication of the Federal Court, in the publication from Tuesday, March 11, in case No. 312/2025, it was established that the judge has temporarily suspended the actions and ordered to provide him with medical care, treatment, and medications according to his condition and medical history.

Félix Gastelum was arrested on January 18 in Culiacán, Sinaloa, during a federal forces operation and was delivered to the Altiplano prison, in the state of Mexico. The judge linked him to criminal proceedings for his alleged illicit activities in the possession of fentanyl with the intent to sell and illegal possession of firearms, presumably exclusively for Armed Forces.

The alleged leader of the "Los Mayos" faction remains detained under precautionary measures pending investigations carried out by local law enforcement with the fifth men.

Félix Gastelum is married to Teresita Zambada Ortiz, the daughter of "El Mayo" Zambada, and is a financial operator and trusted person of Ismael "El Mayito Flaco", also the historical cap of the Sinaloa Cartel.
