
In Sinaloa, three women were arrested after several searches conducted by members of the security cabinet. During the operations, firearms, magazines, cartridges, and telecommunications equipment were seized in the municipalities of Culiacán and Mocorito.
According to the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), through intelligence work, four properties used by criminal groups for illegal activities were identified. After installing fixed and mobile surveillance to gather more information, search warrants were obtained to intervene in the properties.
"A control judge granted the search warrants to intervene in the properties. A simultaneous operation was carried out in different locations in Culiacán and Mocorito," stated the SSPC. During the searches, three women aged 28, 22, and 20 were arrested, and several firearms, magazines, cartridges, telecommunications equipment, pills, and documentation were confiscated.
Subsequently, the properties were sealed and secured by the authorities while the process for the extinguishment of domain was carried out. Both the seized material and the arrested women were presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office to determine their legal situation.
The search actions were carried out following previous operations by the Attorney General's Office, where properties with underground connections used by criminal groups to hide and avoid capture by the authorities were discovered.
The operations involved elements of the National Defense, the Navy, the SSPC, the Attorney General's Office, and the National Guard, through the Subsecretariat of Intelligence and Police Investigation and the National Intelligence Center.
