Blues Concert Series in Mexico

Mexico celebrates the 25th anniversary of the José Martí Cultural Center with a series of blues concerts featuring renowned Mexican and American musicians. Admission is free.


A series of blues concerts will be held in Mexico to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the José Martí Cultural Center. On April 10, in Ecatepec, Mexican singer and saxophonist Evelyn Rubio, known in the US as 'La Mujer que canta Blues', will perform. She will be accompanied by the group La Rambla, the organizer of the Pozos Blues Festival. On April 11, at Parker & Lenox, Emiliano Juárez and the Quique Gómez Band will take the stage. Juárez is considered one of the best and most experienced blues guitarists in Mexico. On April 24, guitarist Alfredo Vega Wolf and the group Los Chicago Kings will perform. On April 12, Evelyn Rubio will perform again at the Ecatepec Cultural Center. Admission to all events is free.
