Transporters from the Union 300 have announced an imminent blockade in Ecatepec and the north of Mexico City for this Monday, January 27. The measure responds to alleged labor negligence by Roberto Río Valle, director of mobility in Ecatepec, as stated in a statement released by the group.
In the statement, coordinators and affiliates are called to a mass blockade as a form of protest against what they consider to be incompetence on the part of Roberto Río Valle. Although the statement has not been officially published on their Facebook page, the organizers confirmed the event in comments on that social network in response to users.
The blockade will mainly affect the avenues of Ecatepec and the entrances to the north of Mexico City on Monday, January 27. Closures are expected on routes such as Vía Morelos, Mexico-Pachuca (free and toll), Lechería-Texcoco, R1 and Periférico, Avenida Central and Río de los Remedios, Avenida Insurgentes, Avenida José López Portillo, and Avenida Central and R1.
