The strategy will be implemented in coordination with the State Government through the “Ready Jalisco” scheme. The delivery of school packages will include backpacks, uniforms, and supplies. Each package will have an approximate value of two thousand pesos. This support is aimed at helping families with school expenses and facilitating students' access to basic materials for their academic training. Investment and operation of the program The implementation of the program requires a total investment of over 288 million pesos. The Government of Guadalajara will contribute 50% of the amount, equivalent to 144 million 200 thousand pesos, while the rest will be covered by the State Government. The Tapatía authorities confirmed that the General Coordination for Combating Inequality will be the body responsible for the implementation, operation, and monitoring of the program, to ensure the timely delivery of support before the start of the school year. Complementary actions in schools It is worth noting that this program is complemented by the “Schools with Heart” strategy, focused on improving infrastructure and equipment in basic education schools. The work would include the installation of street lighting, rehabilitation of educational and sports spaces, as well as the delivery of equipment such as security cameras, sports material, laptops, and projectors.
