
The Jalisco Red Cross informed that, of the three patients admitted to the emergency hospital after being run over by a suspected car thief who hit 16 people outside the Metropolitan Cathedral of Guadalajara, 14 of them have already been discharged. The two patients who are still under observation and hospitalized are two sisters aged 14 and 18.
Bárbara Rojas, 14 years old, is under observation for a traumatic brain injury, while Tania Rojas, 18 years old, has a probable hip fracture. Both were transferred to a private hospital located on Patria Avenue and Americas Avenue. María de las Nieves, 48 years old, with hypertension and a ruled-out fracture of the patella, received medical treatment and was discharged from the same hospital.
The Government of Guadalajara updated the health status of the injured people in the incident that occurred Saturday night through an informative bulletin. Of the 16 people run over by Sergio “N”, 33 years old, arrested by the police of Guadalajara, only the two sisters remain under medical observation.
"The injured people received timely attention, both at the scene of the events and in the medical units to which they were transferred," the official statement explains. The municipal president, Verónica Delgadillo, expressed her solidarity with the injured and reiterated the commitment to provide them with the necessary support.
