The Government of the State of Jalisco informed about the suspension of the potable water service supply for the next two weekends due to the reconnection with the new supply systems El Zapotillo – El Salto - Calderón – San Gaspar. SIAPA will carry out the interconnection of valves to ensure water supply to homes.
In an institutional video, it was communicated about these cuts and it was highlighted that Jalisco and the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara have secured water supply for the next 50 years. The work will begin on Friday, November 15th at 7:00 AM, with the installation of valves to the new supply systems.
By Friday, November 22nd, new equipment will be implemented at the Las Pintas pumping plant, to pump water to the city from the old Chapala system and thus provide water to the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara.
It is important for residents of the affected neighborhoods to take precautions by filling cisterns and tanks to avoid being without the vital liquid during these supply suspension periods. These are the neighborhoods in Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque that will be affected by this service interruption.
