The elected governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus Navarro, shared his strategic vision for water management in the entity during the inauguration of the XXVII National and International Congress of the Mexican Association of Hydraulics (AMH). In his speech, Lemus emphasized the importance of ensuring a quality water supply for Jalisco households and highlighted the efficient management of water resources as key to the state's competitiveness.

Lemus mentioned that his administration will be based on an advisory council of experts in water issues to make informed decisions and ensure sustainable long-term solutions. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of water reuse through projects such as the Morada Line, which will provide treated water to industrial corridors in the region.

Regarding youth participation, the elected governor called on the new generations of hydraulic engineers to get involved in water management, emphasizing the need for fresh and innovative approaches to address future water challenges. Lemus stated that having the talent of young people will be crucial for designing the necessary solutions in Jalisco.

Furthermore, Lemus mentioned the continuity of key works, such as Water Treatment Plant Number 5, which aim to guarantee the water supply in Jalisco in the coming decades. He also pointed out the importance of attracting investments to the state through guarantees in water, energy, and security matters.

Regarding hydraulic infrastructure, the elected governor highlighted the need for renovation, mentioning the Chapala-Guadalajara Aqueduct as one of the priority works starting in 2025. Lemus emphasized that his government vision will focus on ensuring a sustainable and competitive water future for Jalisco, involving both experts and talented youth in water management in the region.
