The mayor of Guadalupe, Héctor García, launched a new program called "Guadalupe Moves Us" aimed at improving the mobility of the citizens in the municipality. Many residents are forced to walk long distances to reach their destinations, consuming a lot of time and money if they decide to take a taxi. This program offers a free transportation service that has already registered more than 600 people interested in using it.
García emphasized the importance of this initiative to facilitate the safe and quick transfers of the people from Guadalupe. To register for the service, citizens must complete a form on the official municipal website, attaching a photo of their official identification and a proof of residence.
In addition to this free transportation program, the mayor also delivered new patrol cars to strengthen the activities of the Police and Transit in the municipality. An investment of 250 million pesos was made in more than 200 units for the Police, Transit, ambulances, mountain equipment, and Civil Protection. A new software for the C4 and drones will also be acquired to enhance surveillance activities in the city.
The first circuit of the "Guadalupe Moves Us" program is already in operation in the eastern area of the city, with a pilot route covering 17 kilometers and featuring five pick-up points. This auxiliary service aims to bring the inhabitants of the surrounding neighborhoods closer to main avenues and Transmetro stops, avoiding long waits for public transportation.
So far, citizens have expressed their satisfaction with the launch of this program, highlighting that it makes their daily transfers more efficient. In the words of Mayor García, "Guadalupe Moves Us" presents itself as an effective solution to improve mobility in the area and provide an adequate transportation service for all residents.
