Dispute in MC and Political Alliances in Guadalupe

The mayor of Cadereyta, Carlos Rodríguez "El Cuate", has expressed his discontent with the management of Governor Samuel García, due to issues with the allocation of resources for his municipality. This has created fissures within Movimiento Ciudadano (MC), as Rodríguez did not attend important party meetings, such as the massive plenary at the beginning of April, nor did he attend events where prominent MC leaders, such as Héctor García and Miguel Flores, close to Deputy Patricio Zambrano, were present.

In light of this situation, the mayor of Santa Catarina, Jesús Nava, is making efforts to integrate "El Cuate" into the 4T (Fourth Transformation) in order to improve his approval from Mexico City. It has been revealed that Nava seeks to capitalize on Rodríguez's alleged discontent with MC leaders and has intensified his efforts to attract him to Morena.

Additionally, it has been mentioned that actors from the Escobedo Group would be supporting this initiative, in a context where Nava aims to fulfill his promise of bringing more mayors to Morena, a key movement ahead of the 2027 elections. This approach is linked to the strategy of the former PAN member and former MC member to gain approval from the Morena leadership in Mexico City.

In his attempt to show good performance ahead of future elections, Nava has joined municipal events in Durango, met with figures from the 4T at the federal level, and intensified his propaganda, highlighting the importance of the Pemex refinery located in the area.
