New Transportation Program for Students in Guadalupe

High school and university students residing in Guadalupe now have more transportation options to reach their educational centers thanks to the expansion of the "Guadalupe Moves Us to School" program, which has included a third circuit. The new units start their route in the Santa Cruz sector up to the Guadalupe Bridge, transporting students for free.

The transportation departs from Uranio Street in the Santa Cruz neighborhood and Benito Juárez Avenue, passing through important arteries of the city such as Plutarco Elías Calles. This new white circuit joins the existing ones, called orange and blue, with the objective of facilitating the practical and safe transfer of young people to 20 local educational institutions.

With service hours from 06:00 to 09:00 and from 12:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday, it aims to reduce travel times and support the economy of students and their families. Since its implementation, the Guadalupe Moves Program has benefited more than 42,500 people across the four established routes.

The program began operations on January 27, with the pilot route Dos Ríos-Rancho Viejo, which aims to bring residents of the eastern area closer to the main avenues. Mayor Héctor García initiated this first circuit in the eastern part of the city that offers free transportation. Traveling part of the circuit, he confirmed that Guadalupe Moves will be an auxiliary route to avoid long waits for public transport.

The first circuit consists of five units covering 17 kilometers, with five established pickup points at Dos Ríos, Sun Mall, Santa Rosa de Lima, IMSS Clinic 68, and the Transmetro terminal.
