The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García Sepúlveda, delivered the first stage of the rehabilitation of Parque Libertad and stated that the goal is to build large parks for citizens throughout the state. Accompanied by the head of Amar a Nuevo León, Mariana Rodríguez Cantú, the state head highlighted that this project involves the recovery of 10 hectares, reforestation, and spaces for all families in the area to enjoy. "This symbol is what we want to replicate throughout Nuevo León. In Guadalupe, we have recovered a piece of land that was abandoned, and in a few weeks, it will become the Water Park. I want you to know that we are here for you, that we are not a distant government, but a government that stands with you, listens to everyone's needs, and wants to continue working for you," declared Rodríguez Cantú. At the event, the Secretary of Citizen Participation, Daniel Acosta; the Secretary of Culture, Melissa Segura Guerrero; the Secretary of the Environment, Raúl Lozano Caballero; the general director of FIDEUR, María Guadalupe López; the delegate of the Ministry of the Interior in Nuevo León, Héctor Gutiérrez; local deputies, and neighbors of the area were present. "This park belongs to all of you, and that's why we need to take care of it," they emphasized. "For the government, early childhood is the most important thing. Those who invest in children are forging a better future," the governor added. "This park will be monitored by Fuerza Civil, Mexico's best police force, ensuring permanent vigilance." "We are very happy to inaugurate this first stage," the governor stated. "Just as we are delivering it, we want it to remain that way for many years to come." The governor also announced that as part of the second stage of Parque Libertad, a Museum will be built, which will have four wings: a computer center, a room with over 10,000 books, a playroom with workshops and early childhood activities, and a wing for the elderly. The head of Amar a Nuevo León, Mariana Rodríguez Cantú, pointed out that this park is a collective achievement of the neighbors who participated, gave their opinions, and trusted that by working together, they could create better spaces for the community. She added that it is a place designed for everyone: families, people who exercise, those with pets, girls and boys, the elderly, and people with disabilities. "This park has a place for everyone. It is an investment of 150 million, the recovery of a 10-hectare park, it's huge. A thousand trees and many other features that the people requested: exercise equipment, a soccer field, a Pet Park, a Fuerza Civil station, and the court," the governor concluded.
