IMSS Appoints New Head in Guanajuato

The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) approved the appointment of Dr. Eusebio Rosales Partida as the new head in Guanajuato, as part of a leadership renewal in 11 states of the country. The decision was made during an extraordinary session of the H. Technical Council of IMSS, where it was decided to strengthen the institution's operation with medical and administrative profiles that prioritize direct attention to beneficiaries. Rosales Partida previously served as Head of Medical Benefits, marking a continuity in the clinical approach within the state delegation. The general instruction, announced by the director general of IMSS, ZoƩ Robledo, aims to improve services, strengthen dignified treatment, increase hospital supervision, and reduce waiting times in clinics and hospitals. This adjustment occurs in a context where IMSS is facing pressure due to the demand for medical services, especially in states with population growth and high urban concentration such as Guanajuato. The new head arrives with the challenge of addressing structural issues such as hospital saturation, the timeliness of specialty consultations, and the quality of care, areas that have been repeatedly pointed out by system users. Additionally, it seeks to consolidate safe environments for both patients and medical personnel, as part of a national strategy that seeks to strengthen the operational capacity of Social Security. The replacement is part of an institutional reconfiguration policy that bets on leadership close to daily operations, with an emphasis on measurable results in the patient experience.
