The Guanajuato Health Secretariat has launched the “Líder T-Salud” training program, a strategy aimed at the management staff with the objective of strengthening key skills to face the challenges of the health system. The head of the department, Gabriel Cortés Alcalá, informed that this initiative is implemented through the areas of training and institutional development, focusing on providing managers with strategic, human, and organizational tools that directly impact the operation of services. The program aims to improve decision-making based on ethical criteria, as well as strengthen conflict resolution and negotiation skills, with a view to creating more collaborative, productive work environments with a better organizational climate. “Líder T-Salud” is structured into five practical workshops, which promote active participation, teamwork, and the support of certified coaches. Among the highlighted topics are self-awareness, self-management, strategic communication, and problem-solving. It also incorporates innovative tools such as the use of artificial intelligence applied in the workplace, as well as an analysis of how beliefs influence decision-making within work teams. The training also addresses leadership as a key axis for building organizational culture and transforming conflicts into opportunities for improvement, recognizing the management staff as a key piece not only in resource management but also in the quality of the service provided to the population. The program aligns with institutional values such as commitment, empathy, integrity, and respect, in line with the mission of the state health system to provide care with quality and warmth. With this strategy, the state Health Secretariat seeks to consolidate strong leaderships that contribute to strengthening the system and the well-being of the people of Guanajuato.
