
Today in the Congress of Guanajuato, a historic moment took place when the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, delivered her First Government Report to the President of the State Congress, Miriam Reyes Carmona, thus becoming the first woman to carry out such an action in the history of the state.
In her speech, Libia Dennise expressed her commitment to the separation of powers, accountability, freedoms, and democracy. She acknowledged the responsibility that comes with being the first woman to govern the State and mentioned the importance of responding with results to the struggle of women who have worked for equality.
The Governor highlighted her administration's commitment to transparency and the goal of reaching every corner of Guanajuato. For her part, the President of the Congress, Miriam Reyes Carmona, celebrated the historic moment as two women were at the forefront on this occasion.
The First Government Report presented includes concrete achievements and highlights the collaboration between two administrations in the transition to a new stage. Among the most relevant actions are the renewal in the areas of security and justice, represented by the CONFIA security strategy, as well as the creation of a parity cabinet and the implementation of the ALIADAS strategy for the benefit of women.
Actions in social infrastructure, education, and job creation within the state are also detailed. Guanajuato stands out as the fifth most important economy in Mexico, maintaining high management standards. The Governor emphasizes that the state has the best health system in the country, with a commitment to continue improving and adapting to the needs of the population.
In compliance with the obligation established by the Political Constitution of the State of Guanajuato, the information contained in this First Government Report will be available on digital media starting Friday, March 7. With this act, the Governor fulfills the mandate to report to the State Congress on the status of the state public administration.
