El Chapo Isidro: Drug Trafficking Leader in the FBI's Crosshairs

Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, also known as 'El Chapo Isidro', has been included in the list of the ten most wanted criminals for drug trafficking compiled by the FBI. He is considered an important drug lord in the Golden Triangle, an area that encompasses Sinaloa, Chihuahua, and Durango, from where he has directed the trafficking of narcotics to the United States.

Born on June 19, 1982, in Guasave, Sinaloa, Mexico, Isidro Meza Flores has been pointed out by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for his involvement in activities related to the production and distribution of large quantities of drugs, such as methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, and marijuana intended for the United States, as well as for possession and use of firearms.

The leader of the Meza-Flores organization, with dark hair and brown eyes, is considered one of the main actors in drug trafficking in Mexico by the FBI. His criminal group, based in Sinaloa, is accused of producing, distributing, and importing significant amounts of heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana to the United States.

After joining the Beltrán Leyva brothers in 1997, Meza Flores maintained his loyalty to this group after the split with Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán in 2008, becoming one of his main operators. Recently, he reportedly established an alliance with Los Mayitos, led by Ismael Zambada Sicairos, known as 'El Mayito Flaco', aiming to displace the faction of Los Chapitos in Sinaloa.

This union between Los Mayitos and El Chapo Isidro could alter the balance of power within the cartel, generating competition for the dominance of trafficking routes and internal leadership. According to data from journalists specializing in drug trafficking, Meza Flores is estimated to control a large part of the production, transportation, and distribution of drugs in various areas of Mexico, having started his career under the protection of Amado Carrillo Fuentes, leader of the Juárez Cartel.
