His criminal group, based in Sinaloa, is accused of producing, distributing, and importing significant amounts of heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana to the United States.
After joining the Beltrán Leyva brothers in 1997, Meza Flores maintained his loyalty to this group after the split with Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán in 2008, becoming one of his main operators. Recently, he reportedly established an alliance with Los Mayitos, led by Ismael Zambada Sicairos, known as 'El Mayito Flaco', aiming to displace the faction of Los Chapitos in Sinaloa.
