Strengthening Ties Between León and Israel

The municipality of León and the state of Israel have signed an agreement with the purpose of strengthening ties between both parties and implementing good practices in areas such as water, environment, education, health, technology, and security. The municipal president, Ale Gutiérrez, highlighted that this exchange represents not only a brotherhood alliance but also an opportunity to learn from the innovations that Israel has developed in critical issues.

As part of the 449th anniversary of the founding of León, the signing of this agreement took place with the presence of local authorities and representatives from the Embassy of Israel in Mexico. The mayor expressed León's willingness to receive knowledge and successful experiences in fields such as economy, health, technology, or agriculture, recognizing the importance of incorporating innovative solutions in the development of the region.

León, known for its adoption of advanced technologies such as nanotechnology for the treatment and reuse of water, aims to follow the Israeli example in maximizing water resources, especially in a context of scarcity. Efforts seek to replicate successful approaches to address common challenges and promote sustainable development in both regions.

Nadav Peldman, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Israel in Mexico, emphasized that this agreement not only strengthens the current connections between León and Israel but also lays the groundwork for the realization of new joint projects with a significant impact on key social and economic areas. Innovation and cooperation are positioned as fundamental axes of this bilateral collaboration, promising mutual benefits.
