León projects the arrival of over 233,000 visitors during the Easter vacation period, with around 57,000 tourists staying in hotels and an average occupancy of 40%, according to municipal estimates that outline a period of high mobility in the city. This tourist flow is concentrated mainly in the Historic Center and in high-traffic public spaces, where an agenda is deployed that combines cultural, recreational, and sporting activities, aimed at families and local and foreign visitors. Among the points with the highest concentration are the Main Square of León, the Metropolitan Park of León, the León Zoo, and the Explora Science Center, which are part of the active offering for this season. The municipal strategy bets on maintaining tourist dynamism through accessible activities distributed in different parts of the city, which allows diversifying the experience of those visiting León during these days. In addition to the impact on mobility, the period represents an opportunity for local consumption, particularly in businesses in the first quadrant, tourist services, and gastronomic offer linked to the season. The projections also reflect the positioning of León as an active urban destination during vacation periods, with the capacity to attract visitors without depending exclusively on massive events, but through a constant programming in public space. With this, the city seeks to sustain a continuous tourist flow that will strengthen economic activity and consolidate its vocation as a regional meeting point during Holy Week. Free Attractions In the heart of the city in the middle of Holy Week with a clear bet on public space: the Ferris wheel is already operating on the esplanade of the Expiatory Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with free access and available until next April 5. The attraction, inaugurated with the presence of Mayor Ale Gutiérrez, adds as one of the main points of coexistence in the Historic Center, in a week marked by tourist flow and religious activities. Access is free and you can ride as many times as you want from 2:30 PM to 9:30 PM, in an environment that also integrates local gastronomic offer and a family atmosphere.
