Truck Detentions in Nuevo León Generate Tension

Officials from the Foreign Trade Department of the Government of Nuevo León (NL) have been confiscating trucks transporting fuels on state highways without providing any explanation for the reasons behind these detentions. This action has generated dissatisfaction among transport companies, who claim that their operations are being severely affected, even though they have all the proper documentation. There have even been reports of cases where drivers are detained, which is considered a deprivation of their freedom.

Affiliated with the National Chamber of Cargo Transportation (Canacar), companies like TINSA and Grupo Energéticos (Energex) have reported constant harassment from the governmental authorities of Samuel García. These unjustified detentions have even been described as a "kidnapping" of the operators of the units.

During a tour conducted by El Financiero, the presence of a line of fuel trucks was confirmed at the toll booth of Libramiento Lincoln, where legal representatives of Energex and public notaries witnessed the confiscations without clear grounds. When questioned about the reasons for the detentions, the Foreign Trade officials refused to provide information or answer the raised questions.

Due to the lack of responses from officials, a climate of uncertainty and discomfort has arisen among the affected companies. The lack of transparency in the actions of the governmental authorities of Nuevo León has caused concern and raised questions about the legality of the detentions made on state highways. The legal representatives of the affected companies have demanded an official statement clarifying the situation and requested respect for the rights of both the companies and their workers.
