The Governor highlighted that the year 2025 will mark a substantial improvement in the truck sector with the arrival of 1,600 new vehicles, representing an 80% to 90% renewal of the current fleet. This boost to public transport is part of Governor Samuel García's efforts to maintain unanimous support in the legislature, particularly due to the dissatisfaction expressed by Deputy Rocío Montalvo over recent increases, who demands compensation measures for citizens.
Deputy Montalvo joined the governor and officials on mobility issues to support the implementation of programs aimed at improving this sector. In this regard, the government of Nuevo León has delivered 40 units from the Institute of Mobility and Accessibility for Route 223, benefiting users in Juárez, Guadalupe, and Monterrey.
The modernization of public transport began with the renewal of the fleet of traditional routes, starting with 223, as part of a comprehensive restructuring. The new buses will run on two routes: 223 Direct Teófilo Salinas - Eloy Cavazos and 223 Teófilo Salinas - Gine. Additionally, the "We Help You Move" program will be implemented, offering 10 free trips per month across various transportation modalities, benefiting vulnerable sectors such as senior citizens, women, and low-income individuals.
A total of 350,000 cards will be issued for this program, providing support to those who need it most and seeking to generate a positive impact on the region's mobility.
