The National Chamber of Commerce in Small Business, Services and Tourism of Monterrey (Canacope) has joined the federal government's strategy "Mexico Embraces You" through a program for jobs for migrants, according to Catalina Domínguez Estrada, president of the chamber. This strategy, in addition to being humanitarian support, represents an opportunity to boost the economy.
"Migrants are a valuable source of talent and capability," commented Domínguez, who is also the regional vice president of Concanaco Servytur. The chamber is ready to assist migrants in integrating into the formal labor market, which will generate benefits for all involved.
In this regard, Canacope Monterrey has called on its partners to provide available vacancies and place posters in their establishments with the phrase "Friend Migrant! Nuevo León embraces you!". "We want them to inform us about job opportunities in their companies affiliated with the chamber, so we can disseminate them on various platforms," added Domínguez.
