Monterrey FC Aims for Financial Independence by 2030

Monterrey Football Club, currently owned by FEMSA, aims to achieve economic and financial self-sufficiency by 2030, according to its management president, Pedro Esquivel Ayanegui. Esquivel Ayanegui explained that the institution's strategy and vision focus on balancing its product, referring to the team's offering, as entertainment in the football industry comes through the team.

In this regard, he highlighted the importance of fans, who contribute economically to the club and allow for its future growth, in line with a redesigned social responsibility strategy to adapt to the current needs of the community. He also emphasized the relevance of the women's team as a spearhead and strategic in the vision for 2030, focusing on sustainability based on institutional commitment.

Esquivel Ayanegui stressed that the club's planning is governed by sports aspects and by the demands of the industry in which they operate. With a view to remaining operational for many more decades, the president pointed out the intention for Rayados to transcend generations and continue to operate successfully in the future.

Regarding the capital press's attitude towards teams from Monterrey, especially Monterrey, Esquivel Ayanegui believes that the criticisms and minimizations reflect that things are going in the right direction. In that sense, he emphasized that the club works with the goal of achieving the results it deserves as an institution.

Additionally, he acknowledged the direct competition in the region, represented by Tigres UANL, and the presence of centralism and regionalism at the national level. However, he trusts that consistency in sports achievements will allow those barriers to fade over time. Esquivel Ayanegui underscored that Rayados not only aspires to immediate victories in tournaments but seeks independence and long-term sustainability, with an eye on conquering the championships in which they compete.
