Integration of Nuevo León and Texas Highlighted at SXSW

The incMTY organization continues with its plan to connect Mexico, Nuevo León, and Texas, highlighting the potential to form a single integrated and competitive region at a global level. A delegation from Nuevo León, led by Emmanuel Loo, Rogelio de los Santos, and Thomas Michael Hogg, has been present in Austin during the SXSW Festival to connect with the international innovation ecosystem and invite business leaders from Texas to the upcoming incMTY event in Monterrey.

During their visit, they held meetings with the President of the Texas Association of Business and the Consul General of Mexico in Austin, Humberto Hernández Haddad, with the aim of strengthening the exchange of innovation, talent, and trade. Thomas Michael Hogg has participated in dialogues about strategies to improve competitiveness and strengthen trilateral integration between the United States, Mexico, and Canada within the framework of the USMCA.

On the other hand, the Association of Cranes, Equipment and Industrial Devices (AGEDI) has announced changes in its National Board of Directors, with Alfonso Pérez Frías assuming the presidency. Pérez Frías emphasizes that Mexico and Nuevo León are ready to face potential tariffs from the United States, highlighting the importance of continuing the work carried out by his predecessors in the association.

AGEDI, which has a significant participation in infrastructure and industrial projects in the country, is working to strengthen the future of the organization and to address the challenges that may arise in the current economic landscape. The association, a national representative of Industrial Cranes in Mexico, plays a key role in various areas such as clean energy, construction, and industry, fostering thousands of jobs in the sector.

In a different realm, Jorge Santos joins the Chamber of the Transformation Industry in Nuevo León (CAINTRA), bringing his vast experience in the management of global companies and his leadership capacity at key moments for the industry. His focus on the integration of SMEs, his vision of sustainable business models, and his commitment to community development promise to drive beneficial strategies for the sector.

Additionally, CAINTRA's industrialists continue to advance their preparation for their 81st Assembly on March 19, where Jorge Guajardo González, former Ambassador of Mexico to China, will give a conference on the role of Mexico in the trade war between the United States and China. His vast experience in geopolitics and international trade promises to enrich the event and provide new perspectives to the attendees.
