
The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, believes that the current change of era with the presidency of Donald Trump represents an opportunity for the entity to stand out in the technological field and take advantage of the current situation. During the inauguration of the INC Monterrey event, García expressed his conviction that Nuevo León is undergoing a complete transformation.
In his statements, the governor emphasized the importance of the entity becoming a national example in terms of how to do business. He pointed out the relevance of logistical integration, transportation infrastructures, and the presence of business partners such as Texas in this process.
Regarding economic growth, García highlighted the positive impact on job creation in Nuevo León, with the generation of 335,000 new jobs over the course of three years. He stressed that this achievement positions the entity in a prominent place nationally.
The governor emphasized that, despite possible threats from Donald Trump to impose tariffs, the Treaty between Mexico, the United States, and Canada does not tax technology in any of its provisions. In this regard, he stressed the importance of promoting innovation and technology, highlighting that these sectors are intangible and not subject to tariffs.
As part of the actions to foster innovation, García announced the creation of the nineteenth cluster in the entity, focused on Innovation and Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, he informed about his upcoming visit to Europe, scheduled from March 28 to April 8, with the aim of attracting more investments to Nuevo León. During this trip, he will visit countries such as Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and France, with the purpose of strengthening the presence of European investors in the region.
