The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, reported that during his three years of administration, the number of Transmetro units has increased from 90 to 400. This increase includes the 21 units recently delivered that will feed the Cabezada Route and serve the Metrorrey System.

García inaugurated the new vehicles that will operate on the Cabezada Route with connections at the Talleres and San Bernabé Stations of Line 1 of the Metro. He mentioned: "In three years, from 90 very old buses, today Nuevo León has 400 Transmetro buses, and more transmetros will continue to arrive to feed the routes."

The governor emphasized that 25 new fully electric Transmetro units, manufactured in Nuevo León, were delivered to reinforce the Julio A. Roca and No Reelección routes in San Bernabé. These units, with a capacity for approximately 80 passengers, aim to improve transport service, being environmentally friendly as they are non-polluting.

The Secretary of Mobility and Urban Planning, Hernán Villarreal, pointed out that the new Transmetros are state-of-the-art units, featuring low floors, air conditioning, and upgraded to provide quality service. With these additions, the number of Transmetro routes connecting to Metro stations has increased to over 30.

The event was also attended by the General Director of the Metrorrey Collective Transport System, Abraham Vargas Molina; the General Director of Mobility and Public Space in Monterrey, Juan Carlos Ruiz, and local deputy Rocío Montalvo.
