The governor of Nuevo León stated: "Very interesting projects in energy, water desalination, recycling or water and gas reuse."
The state leader offered support to investors, pointing out that the best place to invest in Mexico is Nuevo León, and as the entity is the industrial capital of Latin America. Accompanied by the Secretary of Economy, Betsabé Rocha Nieto, he noted that investment projects to generate clean energy will always have the support of the State, sharing the green vision that Nuevo León has today.
In turn, Enrique Riquelme, executive president of COX, said that the investment projects planned for the entity would generate more than 4,000 jobs for their construction and over 250 permanent jobs.
As part of his work tour in Mexico City, Governor Samuel García Sepúlveda announced that the state will receive an investment of $4.2 billion for Nuevo León.
The investment will come from the energy group COX, which acquired Iberdrola México, and they will seek to invest in new wind and solar parks in the metropolitan and peripheral area of Monterrey.
"The company COX arrives in Nuevo León with a very important investment of more than 4 billion dollars and they tell me that they will most likely put their Headquarter there soon."
"We want to be part of that growth, get on that train and be able to contribute our grain of sand to give a solution to the need for water and energy so that they can continue to grow," Riquelme pointed out.
