The Secretary of Government of Nuevo León, Miguel Flores Serna, affirmed that an inclusive 2026 Budget will be presented, constructed with the requests of lawmakers, but prioritizing the needs of the citizens. "We are very optimistic, we believe that this type of meeting is what is going to make things work, because when presenting a Budget, we as the Executive will be very responsible for carrying the requests that our fellow lawmakers are making today... to move forward this Budget that Nuevo León so needs," he declared. Flores Serna also reiterated that the 2026 Budget will be presented on time and in the proper manner, and that he will seek out the lawmakers who could not attend this second work meeting to hear their requests. "We are going to present the Budget on time and in the proper manner, we are going to try to include all the requests of our fellow lawmakers. It's a shame that the fellow lawmakers who could not be here, but I am going to take care of looking for them to see if they have any other request, to take them into account and present an inclusive Budget," he pointed out. "We are open to building a Budget that serves everyone, as long as the one it serves the most is the citizen who sees this Budget in their daily life. We have already had two meetings, the dialogue has not stopped and we are even ready to have another meeting this same week," he assured. Following the meeting held this Tuesday at the Secretariat of Finance and Treasury of the State with the Secretary of Finance and General Treasurer of Nuevo León, Carlos Garza Ibarra; the director of Metrorrey, Abraham Vargas; and representatives of the local Congress, the favorable atmosphere for moving forward the 2026 Budget was highlighted.
