Business Leaders in Nuevo León Call for Dialogue and Support

Business leaders in Nuevo León demanded a greater and better dialogue for the sake of the state and did not rule out that a new State Coordination Law could be beneficial. "We seek to continue being a proactive partner, Nuevo León will continue to strengthen its leadership," said the businessman. "I would see this as a state that is resisting the blows of this uncertainty," added Santos Reyna. In addition to the international sociopolitical context, he also touched upon the conflict surrounding the 2026 Budget. "We are in favor of the Coordination Law because it creates a linkage, and a law makes it mandatory, which forces us to coordinate to improve the quality of life for all of us who live here," he added. During the Council Session, Santos Reyna reiterated that from the business sector, they will continue to work on areas such as the environment, water care, mobility, and other sectors. "Evidently, there is still a challenge, which is uncertainty, and this has generated challenges for new investments, there are fewer in industrial parks." "Nuevo León continues to be a state that strongly drives export, which has generated an important engine of growth." "From the business sector's point of view, we like to be part of the solution if we are consulted on a topic," added the head of Caintra. "We are optimistic that the Congress and the Executive can reach an understanding." During the Caintra General Council session, its director, Jorge Santos Reyna, called for intensifying support for the business sector. "The situation is complex, we are rowing against the current, and few can get ahead." "We always define this as it being beneficial for Nuevo León to have a Budget, but this is generated through dialogue, we have always been proactive." "There is a challenge due to deceleration due to geopolitics," he added. "We seek to have more formal employment in the State and obviously, we all want to be more efficient." "There is reinvestment, but it is not leading to greater investment." He detailed that patterns in MSMEs have been lost and warned of a reduction in investment in industrial parks. "We make an urgent call for everyone to help MSMEs." "A loss of 25,000 patterns was registered in Mexico; in Nuevo León the trend is similar, 1,200 patterns were lost, mainly those of smaller size."
