The Monterrey City Government delivered another 1,500 Regia Plus cards to women in Parque España, as a strategy to strengthen the economic autonomy and well-being of families in the city.

During the event, Mayor Adrián de la Garza, accompanied by his wife and DIF President Gaby Oyervides, highlighted that the program has become a key tool to drive the development of its beneficiaries.

«This program seeks to support and empower our women, the most important part that the city of Monterrey has, we will continue to strengthen all our families,» he commented.

As one of its flagship projects, he said the Regia Plus card is for real, explaining the laborious administrative, economic, and organizational process to carry it out, as it represents a way for women to access training, legal advice, and comprehensive support, including legal guidance and assistance in cases of gender-based violence.

While distributing the card, the DIF President thanked the citizens on their behalf for this benefit returning: «This government does care about people, does care about women, and this is one of the great examples you are making to be able to benefit all families. But above all, thank you so much, thank you for your trust, because that trust gives us a great responsibility».

The Regia Plus card is aimed at women aged 18 to 62 who reside in Monterrey and are in a situation of social vulnerability.

The program includes a bimonthly support of 2,000 pesos, as well as access to self-employment workshops, microloans, scholarships, and psychological and legal assistance.

During 2025, 12 mega-deliveries of the program were held in different parts of the city. So far this year, 3,000 cards have been distributed in two macro-events.

On the podium, the mayor was accompanied by the Head of Cabinet, Fernando Margáin; the Secretary of Administration, Marcelo Segovia; the Secretary of Citizen Participation, Rafa Ramos; and the Secretary of Human Development and Substantive Equality, Karina Barrón.
