Ternium honored 18 companies for their excellent industrial safety records, with 83% being small and medium-sized enterprises. The initiative aims to enhance workplace safety and productivity in Mexico.


Ternium Recognizes 18 Companies for Safety Excellence

The company Ternium recognized 18 of the most outstanding companies in its supply chain for their high industrial workplace safety rates. These companies are part of more than 150 contractors operating in Ternium plants worldwide. It is noteworthy that 83% of the recognized companies belong to the category of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), which also participate in the Ternium ProPymes program.

The Ternium Safe Supplier program aims to promote the growth of over 900 SMEs by fostering safety, technology, and innovation in their operations. Since its inception in 2016, Ternium has recognized over 170 Mexican companies as Safe Suppliers for their outstanding performance in safety. César Jiménez, CEO of Ternium Mexico, highlights the importance of workplace safety and thanks the awarded companies for following procedures and rejecting unsafe tasks.

Ternium's Safe Supplier program aims to improve the safety of contractor companies through management and leadership. It is fundamental for Ternium that more companies join this program and receive this recognition. The program includes companies performing various tasks at Ternium facilities, which involves a diversity of risks.
