Record Investment and Economic Growth in Nuevo León

In the United States, there are 15 days left until the presidential elections, which will have an impact on the country's automotive policy. The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, commented that companies like Tesla and BYD, among others, are keen to know the decisions that the next U.S. president will make.

García highlighted that, despite the uncertainty generated by the elections in the U.S., Nuevo León has recorded a record investment with 270 projects amounting to 68 billion dollars. The governor mentioned that the arrival of new companies to the region will not affect this wave of investments, which has positioned Nuevo León as a leader in job creation and business formation.

At the inauguration of the Annual Meeting of Industrialists (RAI) CONCAMIN 2024 "Industry as a Motor of Prosperity and Well-being" at Cintermex, Governor García emphasized the support provided by his government to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Nuevo León totaling over 3 billion pesos. He highlighted the importance of promoting SMEs to foster employment and economic development in the region.

Nuevo León has established itself as an attractive destination for the relocation of companies, capturing 76% of such investments in the country. García mentioned that his administration focuses on training and dual education, with the goal of graduating one million professionals, especially bilingual engineers and technology specialists.

The president of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers (Concamin), Alejandro Malagón Barragán, praised the leadership shown by Nuevo León in attracting investment, job creation, and industrial development. He highlighted Monterrey as an ideal venue for the RAI due to its business dynamism and the results obtained under the government administration.

Regarding Tesla, Governor García clarified that the company's investment project is temporarily suspended, not canceled, along with other investments that have taken the same pause.
