
The company Schneider Electric has inaugurated its first Regional Operations Center in Mexico, located in Monterrey, with the aim of promoting intellectual manufacturing and leveraging growth and reshoring in the country. This space, based on the concept of Intellectual Manufacturing, seeks to foster national creativity and talent beyond traditional manufacturing, as part of the company's vision for sustainable innovation.
Jesús Carmona, general director for Mexico and Central America of Schneider Electric, mentioned that the country has been exceptional in traditional manufacturing and now seeks to excel in strategy, creativity, and innovation. The Regional Operations Center joins other facilities of the company in Mexico, such as the Innovation and Development Center in Nuevo León, the Energy and Sustainability Services office in Celaya, and the Innovation and Training Center in Mexico City.
Schneider Electric has experienced significant growth in Mexico during the period 2021-2023, doubling the size of its business in the country, especially in energy and industrial automation solutions. Additionally, it projects a similar investment for the period 2025-2026, prioritizing traditional manufacturing.
Carmona emphasized that the business growth in Mexico in the 2021-2023 cycle was double, and 60% came from nearshoring opportunities. The company seeks to enhance intellectual manufacturing and consolidate its presence in the country, strengthening innovation, creativity, and strategy as fundamental pillars of its development in the region.
