Paul McCartney has made a special request to the organizers of the concert in Monterrey: to avoid selling animal-derived food at the stadium. McCartney is known for his vegan lifestyle, adopted nearly 50 years ago, which has led him to take measures at his concerts.
In an interview with National Geographic, the former Beatle mentioned that he decided to avoid meat consumption in the seventies, inspired by an experience on a farm with his wife. During his current tour, which includes performances at the Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, McCartney has requested that no meat or meat products be sold during his shows.
During his concert in Monterrey, it was reported that McCartney expressly requested that no animal-based products, such as chicharrón, be sold in certain areas of the stadium. Although this request may seem unusual to some, for McCartney it is part of his conviction to respect animals and promote a vegan lifestyle.
Regarding his upcoming concerts in Mexico City, it is expected that McCartney will maintain the same request. The artist will be performing at the Estadio GNP Seguros on November 12 and 14, in addition to headlining the Corona Capital 2024 on November 17.
McCartney's decision to adopt veganism dates back nearly half a century, when he and his wife decided to stop consuming red meat and animal-derived products. This choice, motivated by respect for animal life, has marked the musician's life and is reflected in his special requests during his live performances. At each concert, McCartney seeks to promote the preparation of vegan food and avoid preparing dishes with animal-derived ingredients to respect his principles and convictions.
