The Federal Government in Nuevo León has urged users of the Welfare Pension not to take risks due to low temperatures. It was reported that the bimonthly resource is not at risk, is available, and can be collected at any bank branch at any time.
The Welfare Secretariat in the state indicated that the payment schedule for pensions specifies that the funds are available on that date. It was highlighted that the money can be withdrawn at any bank branch, and the card can also be used for purchases at supermarkets, to pay at places with card terminals, and to pay for services.
Beneficiaries scheduled to collect next week have been urged not to leave their homes unless necessary to avoid risking their health. Beneficiaries are advised to take extra precautions and remain attentive to official reports from Civil Protection and the forecast from the National Meteorological Service.
The Welfare Secretariat in Nuevo León guarantees that each beneficiary's money is safe and reiterates its commitment to assist them once conditions have improved. Genaro Rodríguez Teniente, Welfare delegate, assured that elderly citizens' money is secured and can be used in various ways.
"We want to tell you to be calm, your money is safe, no one, not even the bank, can touch it. The card can be used as a tool for saving, making payments, and shopping at the supermarket," the federal official stated. Low temperatures are forecasted to start the week, reaching zero degrees on Monday and minus two degrees on Tuesday. On Wednesday and Thursday, the minimum will be three degrees, making it advisable for the elderly population to avoid exposure.
