In Monterrey, Nuevo León, the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Femicide confirmed the discovery of the body of Ana Carolina, a young university student who was reported missing. Authorities reported that she had gone to a hill where hiking is usually practiced, but did not return.

Ana Sauceda climbed the hill but did not descend, and after her disappearance was reported, a search alert was activated. The Prosecutor's Office is awaiting the results of toxicological and pathological tests to clarify what happened.

Ana Carolina's mother posted a letter on social media thanking for the search efforts and asking not to speculate on her daughter's death. In the letter, she mentioned that her daughter was found without signs of violence, and urged the community to await the results of the investigation.

The Universidad del Valle de México expressed its condolences for the passing of Ana Carolina, who was a student at the Cumbres campus. The case of Ana Carolina has highlighted the issue of women's disappearances in Nuevo León, as another body was found in the municipality of Ciénega de Flores.

Ana Carolina's body was found without signs of violence, and the Prosecutor's Office is awaiting the results of the autopsy, which could reveal more details in a week or two.
