These working groups will include state authorities, such as the head of the Ministry of Health, Alma Rosa Marroquín, the Secretary of the Environment Alfonso Martínez Muñoz, and the executive director of the Citizen Observatory of Air Quality, Selene Martínez Guajardo. Civil organizations, specialists, and citizens related to health and the environment will also be invited.

Carlos de la Fuente, coordinator of local deputies of Acción Nacional, explained that the purpose of these groups is to analyze the actions being taken both from the Legislative and Executive branches regarding the pollution crisis affecting the region. The aim is to find effective solutions to combat especially respiratory diseases that mainly affect children and the elderly.

The leader of the PAN bench in Congress highlighted the importance of taking concrete measures to address the pollution crisis in Nuevo León. Proposed actions include the proper use of the green tax, the implementation of free vehicle inspections, and the installation of more monitoring towers near companies identified as major pollution sources in the metropolitan area. These measures are expected to help control and reduce pollution in the short, medium, and long term.
