
The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García Sepúlveda, called for a meeting at the Seventh Military Zone to address security issues, attended by various state authorities. In the closed-door meeting, mayors, military generals, prosecutor Javier Flores Saldívar, and federal delegate Omar Escobar Figueroa were present. The good results achieved in terms of security over the year were highlighted.
In his statements, García Sepúlveda emphasized that for the first time during his term, crime indicators in the state, such as glassing, homicides, rapes, injuries, and thefts, showed positive indicators. The importance of working together on issues of security, the environment, and mobility was emphasized.
Mayor Adrián de la Garza also recognized the advances in security, noting that January represented a historic month for Nuevo León, ranking 20th nationally in insecurity indices. The importance of continuing to work on improving the security situation in the state, despite the achievements made, was highlighted.
The intervention of President Claudia Sheinbaum in the governance process of the entity was mentioned, as well as the efforts of Commissioner Gerardo and the Muralla Operation in reducing crimes. Both the governor and the mayor showed a willingness to strengthen coordinated actions among different levels of government to maintain positive results in security in Nuevo León.
