The government of Nuevo León (NL) has committed to investigating the source of the pollution currently affecting the state in order to address this problem efficiently. Javier Luis Navarro Velasco, Secretary General of the NL government, informed in an interview with El Financiero that efforts are being made to identify the source of the pollution.
"Pollution is everyone's problem, and the solution must be everyone's responsibility; the governor (Samuel García) has been very attentive to this issue," emphasized Navarro Velasco. Meetings have been held with chambers and civil society to address pollution as a priority and seek concrete solutions.
The official pointed out that once the cause of the pollution is determined, efforts will be made to find effective solutions. "We must seek socially responsible and conscious companies; the governor has been clear that companies contributing to pollution in the state will not be tolerated," explained Navarro Velasco.
On the other hand, the NL government committed to resolving the public mobility problem in the state before Samuel García's term ends in 2029. Navarro Velasco mentioned that difficulties in executing projects are anticipated due to various contingencies, but it is expected that priority works will be completed ahead of the established deadline.
Regarding public transport, the incorporation of 1,500 new buses this year is expected to renew the fleet and improve service. Additionally, a restructuring of routes will be carried out with the aim of optimizing mobility and addressing the needs of the population. Navarro Velasco highlighted the importance of collaboration with different sectors, including the participation of companies and organizations in identifying causes and solutions for these challenges.
