The Attorney General's Office of the state of Nuevo León, through the Institute of Criminalistics and Forensic Services, has delivered 12 new fully equipped vehicles for operational work, in order to promote the application of scientific research protocols that require prompt attention. This significant advance complements the modernization and increase of the mobility infrastructure of the ICSP in the region.
The vehicle fleet of the Institute now includes double cab pickups, 4x4 drive, tubular bumpers, and a 12,000-pound winch, which will facilitate interventions in difficult-to-access areas. The trucks were specially modified with structural aluminum elements for auxiliary vehicles, reducing weight and increasing durability, ensuring optimal support in the performance of their functions.
These units are equipped with power inverters at 110 volts to energize any electrical equipment, ladders, tool racks, and detachable drawers. Additionally, each vehicle has a retractable awning and police lighting equipment, facilitating ongoing fieldwork despite environmental conditions.
To enhance operational efficiency, GPS systems, 360-degree peripheral vision cameras, and radiofrequency have been installed. These elements complement the georeferenced location platforms for search and location that ICSP personnel can use from each of the vehicles, thus improving the effectiveness of their interventions.
In the midst of budget constraints, adjustments were made to the relevant financial allocations to acquire the necessary tools for the tasks of a scientific investigation. This approach demonstrates the commitment of the Attorney General's Office to equip the Institute with the appropriate resources to carry out its work efficiently and effectively.
