A strong drop in temperatures is expected in Monterrey

In Nuevo León, a marked temperature drop is forecasted due to cold front number 10, according to statements from Civil Protection director Erik Cavazos. It is expected that within 48 hours, temperatures will drastically decrease from 30 degrees to 7 degrees. This drop is considered the first strong cold of the season and is expected to be dry, with a nearly 24-degree change that will be noticeable for the region's inhabitants.

Authorities have issued alerts for the population to take preventive measures against this sudden temperature drop. To combat air pollution, the Ministry of the Environment has carried out monitoring and detection actions of pollution sources in several municipalities in the region. An effort has been made to reduce pollution, especially in areas such as Escobedo, García, and Santa Catarina.

Air quality monitoring indicates that for this Sunday, conditions are expected to be "good" and "acceptable" in most stations, except in the eastern zone of the metropolitan area where levels considered "bad" could be reached. In light of the upcoming low temperatures, it is recommended to avoid activities that could increase environmental pollution. On Monday, a maximum temperature of 31 degrees is expected, a typical figure for the month of November.
