The governor of Nuevo León highlights the integration of the new attorney general and mayors in the Security Table to improve coordination. Actions will also be addressed to improve air quality.


Nuevo León Strengthens Security with New Prosecutor

The recently appointed Attorney General of Justice of Nuevo León, Javier Flores, and the mayor of Monterrey, Adrián de la Garza, joined the work of the state Security Council starting this Wednesday. The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, led the meeting and emphasized the importance of having the incorporation of the new attorney general and mayors for close coordination with the municipalities. In the meeting, García mentioned that he will receive President Claudia Sheinbaum to commemorate the 112th anniversary of the Mexican Army. Both will travel to the municipality of Cerralvo to inaugurate the new motorized cavalry regiment of the army. The Security Council was attended by Javier Flores Saldívar, the newly appointed attorney general of Justice of Nuevo León, and mayors, including Adrián de la Garza from Monterrey. García Sepúlveda expressed: "These security councils have been very successful because we are doing very well in security and starting today the attorney general of the State and mayors are joining." During Sheinbaum's visit, the governor mentioned that they will address the issue of air quality and make progress on air-related matters. The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat) is preparing a series of actions in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment of Nuevo León to improve air quality in the metropolitan area.
