"We want to inform you that on February 16, Alicia filed a complaint for acts of violence, which was ratified on Wednesday, February 19, before the Attorney General's Office of the State of Nuevo León," stated Alicia Villarreal in the statement. The singer thanked the public for their support and indicated that she will seek justice so that this case becomes a precedent and no woman has to go through a similar situation.
After offering statements to the authorities, Alicia Villarreal expressed her gratitude for the support received and announced that she will speak more on the matter soon. "I am dealing with this difficult situation, and we have only come to declare these facts," the singer mentioned to the press.
Alicia Villarreal's lawyer, Claudia Ramírez, revealed more details about the legal process the singer will face as part of the complaint against Cruz Martínez. "We come before the authorities to inform them of the facts that the lady recounts. They asked her all the necessary questions, and now we will wait for the authorities to make their own decisions. We are not judges; we cannot say whether they will take measures or not," explained the lawyer.
