A recent survey revealed that the governor of Nuevo León, Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda, has achieved a 64% approval rating, a significant increase compared to the previous year. On the other hand, his predecessor, Jaime Rodríguez, had a 22% approval rating at the same point in his term.
The survey, conducted by the civic platform "Cómo Vamos", analyzes citizens' perceptions on crucial state issues such as mobility, security, the environment, and governmental management. Among the highlighted findings is an improvement in access to health care, an increasing perception of safety, and a rise in the use of public transportation, attributed to strategies implemented by the administration.
Additionally, there was a notable positive management of public resources, with 58% of respondents supporting it, and 59% believing that the governor is doing an honest job. In the context of the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of Nuevo León as a sovereign state, citizens were surveyed about what makes them proud to be from Nuevo León, with the work culture standing out as a significant value for the population.
The presentation of the results took place at the Marco Museum and was attended by state officials, mayors, local deputies, business representatives, and civil society organizations. Luis Ávila, General Director of "Cómo Vamos", emphasized that the positive evaluation of García Sepúlveda in his third year of mandate contrasts with the approval of his predecessor in the same period, highlighting a favorable change in citizen perception.
