Deputy Miguel Ángel Flores, from the Movimiento Ciudadano party in Nuevo León, has announced that he will donate three months of his salary to support the firefighters of the state. This initiative aims to improve the equipment and working conditions of firefighters, whose funding mainly comes from donations. Flores called on other political figures and businesspeople to join this noble cause and support the work of firefighters.
"In these critical months of fires, I will donate my salary to the fire departments of our State, as a gesture of recognition and support for their work," stated Flores. The deputy acknowledged the bravery and dedication of firefighters, highlighting their exceptional performance during the recent fires that affected the region.
On Tuesday, a total of 239 fires were registered in Nuevo León, with the municipalities of García and Santa Catarina being the most affected. In light of this situation, Flores emphasized the importance of supporting firefighters, who risk their lives daily to protect the community and the environment.
The coordinator of the Movimiento Ciudadano bench in the state Congress hopes that his fellow legislators will join the cause and also donate part of their salaries to support the firefighters of Nuevo León.
